Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored his career best 254* runs in the last test match against South Africa in Pune.
Before that, he was below the 900 point mark for the first time since 2018 and stood a few points below the world number one batsman in Test Cricket, Steve Smith from Australia.
Post his double century in Pune, Kohli currently stands at 937 point which is a point below Smith and is just two points away from overtaking him as the world’s number one batsman in the tests. Kohli already holds the position of world’s number one batsman in one day internationals.
Other than that Mayank Agarwal is now at 17th position, this is the first time he has landed in top-20. This was post his maiden century in tests which was converted into a double century in the first test match in Vizag and his century in the first innings of the second match in Pune.
