I guess we all are lucky, we are born in an era where we can see King Kohli do his magic. Once again Virat has made India proud, his team proud and this time he has made Sourav Ganguly aka DADA proud. Ex skipper Sourav Ganguly praised Kohli for surpassing him as the second, highest run-scorer for India in one-day internationals.

Ganguly has a record of scoring 11363 runs in 311 ODIs in his 15-year-long career. While Kohli took just 238 innings to get past this figure. Kohli currently has 11406 runs in his kitty with an average of 59.71 which is highest for any batsman in any format of the game. Otherwise, he stands at the 8th number when it comes to total runs in international cricket in the one-day format.

Ganguly tweeted this after Kohli hit his 42nd century in ODI cricket. 120 in 125 balls against West Indies made India reach a decent total of 279 runs, India won this match by DLS method owing to the angry rain Gods. India leads the 3 match ODI series by 1-0, the first match was cancelled due to rain while 2nd was interrupted too in between. India already has won the T-20 series by 3-0 under Kohli’s leadership. Let us hope the next match does not get cancelled or interrupted due to untimely rain.
