Rishabh Pant did perform well in the last T-20 against West Indies, but the 21 year old middle order batsman needs to get more consistent with his good play otherwise it will be tough for him to maintain his position in the team.
The Indian men’s team is already looking for dependable middle-order batsmen as well as wicket-keeper who can take former skipper M.S. Dhoni’s place in the upcoming years. Pant is supposedly the best candidate for this, but he needs to work more on his play as he won’t be getting such huge opportunities all the time.
Pant’s 65*(42) was much appreciated in the last match, he gets along well with the team and is calm on the field too, the only thing with him is that he plays too recklessly and gets out before time. He definitely needs to work on this and no one can be better than skipper Virat Kohli to set an example for him. His 65* run knock is the highest by an Indian wicket-keeper in T-20’s. This position was earlier held by Dhoni (56 against England).
