BCCI has banned Prithvi Shaw, India’s talented 19 year old opener after he failed to clear a dope test conducted during Syed Mushqat Ali T-20 tournament. Shaw has been banned in back date from match 16th to November 15th. This means that he will also be missing out India’s home series against Bangladesh and South Africa.
Currently Shaw has been recovering from a hip injury at national cricket academy and banned drug called Terbutaline has been found in his system.
“Prithvi Shaw registered with Mumbai Cricket Association, has been suspended for doping violation. Mr. Shaw had inadvertently ingested a prohibited substance, which can be commonly found in cough syrups,” the BCCI said in a statement.
