KL Rahul, who is currently going through an amazing form has jumped up to the number-2 position in ICC T20 rankings. Rahul was awarded the man of the series in the five-match T20 series against New Zealand, which India won by 5-0. In doing so India became the first-ever team to white wash a five-match T20 series.
Rahul has been opening the match and has been doing good at other positions as well. His keeping skills are also being appreciated which came into lime-light after Rishabh Pant got a concussion and was ruled out. Recently Indian skipper Virat Kohli said that the team will be continuing with Rahul as a wicketkeeper. Rahul scored 56. 57*, 27, 39, 45 in the series against New Zealand. He now has 823 points while Pakistan’s Babar Azam is at number 1 with 879 points.
Other than that Hitman Rohit Sharma has entered the top 10 batsmen for the first time after his two half-centuries against New Zealand in the five-match T20 series. He now stands at number 10. Sharma stands at number 2 in ODI rankings just below Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is the number 1 ODI and test batsman as of now.
