Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah would not be able to play the upcoming three test matches against the South African team as he has sustained an injury. Bumrah has a minor stress fracture in the lower back and has been ruled out of the home series against South Africa as per BCCI.
He will go through rehab in NCA (National Cricket Academy) Bengaluru and pacer Umesh Yadav will be replacing him in the 15-man test squad against South Africa.
The Indian team has already made some changes in the test team by dropping K.L. Rahul and giving an opportunity to extremely talented Shubhman Gill.
It is a tricky time for the men in blue as the playing positions are still in question and there is T-20 world cup coming up soon and the middle order is still in trouble. With Bumrah getting injured it just adds to the troubles. Bumrah has just played 12 test matches and has managed to take 62 wickets in them.
This what Bumrah tweeted:
Also skipper Virat Kohli has received a demerit point due to his misconduct during the 3rd T-20 against South Africa and can get banned from international cricket if he gets another one of these points till January 2020.
