FC Goa won their first match by 3-0 which was against Chennaiyin FC at the very same ground at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium Goa.

Today’s match against Bengaluru FC was definitely a challenging one. But one of the most exciting matches of the season.

All about defence

The game of football is as much about defence as it is about the goals scored. Both the teams maintained a clean sheet during the first half. The defence from both the sides was amazing though Bengaluru FC had a higher percentage of ball possession throughout the game.

All happening second half

Both the teams were desperate to sore a goal in the second half and the first goal of the game was scored by Indian footballer Udanta. This was Udanta’s first away goal for the team and this was the first time that a first goal was scored by an Indian player for Bengaluru FC.

The second half was about to end and it was speculated that Bengaluru FC was surely about to win the game with 1-0 but amazingly score was equalized during the injury time.

In 92nd minute of the game Ferran Corominas scored the penalty owing to a foul by Bengaluru FC. This is the first time that a match has tied up between both the teams.
