Indian batsman KL Rahul has been in a purple patch since a few weeks now and is surely setting out on a path of greatness. In today’s match, Rahul came out to bat at number five and ended up hitting a half-century. Rahul is getting popular for playing well at any given position and there is nothing but a fact in it.
The man has been doing a great job as an opener, he does well when he comes down at number three or five and has been keeping the wickets well too. Rahul replaced Rishabh Pant as a wicketkeeper when Pant got a concussion and was ruled out. After a few matches, Virat Kohli stated that the team would continue with Rahul as a keeper. Now, this is something that strengthens’s Rahul’s position in the team by manifolds.
He also won the man of the series for the five-match T20 series against New Zealand, which India won by 5-0. He also jumped up to the second position in ICC T20 batsmen rankings.
There’s more to see from the Karnataka player as the T20 world cup will be held this year and India has its eyes on the ICC trophy.
