India was definitely looking forward to a clean sweep in the last T20 against New Zealand and today’s match couldn’t have been more exciting.
The Indian inning was lead by Hitman Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli. Sharma scored 65 of 40 balls while Kohli hit 38 in 27 balls. Shreyas Iyer also contributed with 17 in 16 balls. While it was Manish Pandey and Ravindra Jadeja who stood in the end with 14*(6) and 10*(5) respectively.
India stood at 179/5 in 20 overs.
New Zealand’s Hamish Bennet took 3 wickets but proved to be expensive with an economy rate of 13.50. He was hit for 54 runs in his 4 overs spell.
The second inning was an exciting one as Newzealand tied up the score at 179/6. The New Zealand captain Kane Williamson hit 95 in 48 balls. The match was taken o a super over when Mohammed Shami bowled out Ross Taylor at the last ball of the 19th over.
The super over indeed was a nail-biting one. New Zealand seems to have a curse on them when it comes to super overs.

Tim Southee bowled the super over for New Zealand while Sharma and KL Rahul were to chase the total of 17 runs.
The over went on like: 2,1,4,1,6,6. New Zealand missed a chance to run out Rohit Sharma on the first ball. With 9 runs to be made of 2 balls, Sharma ended up hitting 2 sixes in a row to win the match.
Mohammed Shami is the unsung hero of the match as he defended just 2 runs of 4 balls in the last over.
India has won the series with 3-0.
