The third day saw the West Indies’ first innings as well as India’s second innings. The Caribbean team got out at 222/10 not being able to reach India’s first innings score of 297/10.

No batsmen from the Indies team was able to get past the score of 50, Roson Chase being the only one scoring 48. India’s bowling side needs to be duly appreciated.

It was Ishant Sharma’s day. The bowler took a 5-wicket haul with an economy rate for 2.53 and 5 maiden overs in his 17 over spell. Jasprit Bumrah took 1 wicket while both Ravindra Jadeja and Mahommed Shami took 2-wickets each. Hanuma Vihari was given just 2 overs to bowl. Sharma was responsible for dismissing very dangerous Kraigg Brathwaite, Roston Chase, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer.

India’s second innings will continue on the day 4 and is has been something like this so far:

Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane both have hit a half-century and India stands at 185/3 in 72 overs. India has a 260 run lead as of now. The match has started, let us see how it proceeds.
