Lasith Malinga was not able to make much of a difference despite taking Rohit’s wicket as the damage had been done and neither did Rahul’s wicket at the hands of Rajitha made any impact. Both the batsmen had played their part well and lead India to an easy victory in the 43rd over itself.
India will be facing New Zeland in the semi-finals on 9th of July, Tuesday. India hasn’t played Kiwis in this tournament as the scheduled match was cancelled due to rain so the semi-finals will be the first time they will be facing kiwis in this edition of world cup.
