MS Dhoni’s future in the game of cricket has been in questions since he announced a sabbatical after India’s loss in the world cup semi-finals against New Zealand. Almost everyone prominent in the world of cricket has made a statement regarding this but there hasn’t been any official word from the former skipper himself. Dhoni had stated that the questions regarding retirement shouldn’t be asked until the year 2020. And guess what! It is the year 2020.

With the Indian Premier League starting next month, the chairman of the league Rajiv Shukla has spoken up regarding Dhoni.

“Dhoni is a great cricketer and there is a lot more cricket left in him. But, he has to decide when he should take retirement”, Shukla told reporters in Indore.

Everyone that has made a statement on this topic has said that the decision to take retirement solely depends on MS Dhoni himself. Dhoni will definitely be captaining the Chennai Super Kings this season and it will be interesting to see him come back to the field.
